Winter Warmers

I absolutely adore this time of year, in fact give me a crisp Autumn morning over a hot Summer's day any time of the year. The cold crisp mornings, dew glistening on the ever present spider webs, the walk to nursery leaves crunching under foot, splashing in puddles and of course wrapping up in cosy knits and whisper soft scarves.
This year is baby Dude's first Winter and I couldn't resist getting him some of the cutest knits imaginable. The Uggs above were Honey's, perfect for keeping little toes toasty in the cold, his little cow hat and cream booties are from Baby Gap and bib is from Cath Kidston. Who knew dressing a little boy was as fun as dressing a little girl!

Hi-tops - Topshop v Isabel Marant

I love hi-tops, and after convincing myself I wasn't too old for them (!) I decided to take the plunge and buy a nice safe black pair. After having them for a week I must say I don't know what I did without them. They are uber comfy, and add a bit of height and chicness to my normal leggings mummy uniform.
I would love love love the original Isabel Marant pair but for now these Topshop ones for £48 will do.

Fall Fashion Wish List

I don't do a ton of fashion blogs. the main reason is because I don't really have a sense of style. I like what I like. I don't really follow fashion trend. I don't always choose the best clothes for my body type. I just go with what I like, right or wrong. Still, I thought I would share a few of the fashion items I have been scoping out for fall. Whether I will actually purchase any of these things is yet to be determined. Right now I am just loving looking at ideas, and window shopping!

1. Sweaters

Of course, sweaters are a big part of my wardrobe in the fall and winter. Of course, last fall I was a size or two smaller than I am now. I am sad to say I have gained back most of the weight I lost last year. So I am in the marker for a couple new sweaters to add in to my fall wardrobe. I an loving open knit sweaters. I think they are just adorable. And also, I am a sucker for oversized super comfy sweaters too!

My favorite Accessory for fall has to be scarves. I love scarves. I think they are a great way to add color or dimension to any outfit. I love that they come in a variety of different colors, textures, shapes and sizes! Some scarves that have recently been on my radar:

Of course, one can never have too many accessories. Along with scarves, I am also really into bracelets these days. A big trend right now seems to be stacking lots of different bracelets. I like that look well enough, but lately I am have been leaning toward have one interesting eye catching bracelet as a show piece! Here are a couple that I have been scoping out!

Nothing says fall like a cute pair of boots. Last fall I was in love with Riding Boots. And they still hold a place in my heart and in my closet. but this year I am all about booties or Ankle boots. I am loving ones with faux fur accents for some reason. And some without too. I love boots!

The last thing that I have been eyeing for fall is a small brown cross body bag. I normally go for large hobo style bags. But I have really been wanting a small cross body bag this fall. I have been looking in all different price ranges, and two of my favorites I have seen so far just happen to be on complete opposite ends of the price scale!

Baby Shop of the week - Little Bird for Mothercare

I am a massive fan of Jools Oliver, in fact her baby book "Minus Nine to One" is my favourite pregnancy book of all time. I love her honest and normal approach to parenting, despite being one half of the most wealthy couple in England. She also has great style. Laid back yet effortlessly stylish, she rocks a pair of jeans like none other. Dressing in my favourite designer Isabel Marant for the launch of her new range of children's clothing range was a sure sign Little Bird for Mothercare was going to be just my cup of tea.

Born in the 70s, Jools is the youngest of three daughters and is an inspirational, hands-on Mum. As a mother of four, Jools embraces strong family values and plays a crucial role as the supportive, strong woman beside her husband, Jamie. The Little Bird journey began with a visit by the Mothercare project team to Jools' home to gain an understanding of what she loves; and to see first-hand the things that have inspired her personal style to help her design an eclectic range that reflects her unique, modern approach to motherhood. Little Bird is a distinctive and fresh expression of this collaboration.

The Little Bird range includes gorgeous newborn clothing to fun and eclectic boys and girls clothing that can be easily mixed and matched. I had to stop myself from buying the entire range, but did come away with a pair of jeans, Little Bird top, floral skirt and dress. Both the jeans and top can be worn by the Dude when he grows up too which is a huge bonus.

DIY Isabel Marant

I LOVE Isabel Marant, if I ever win the lottery I am dressing in Isabel Marant from head to toe and nothing else. Lately I am desperate for the leather Acca skirt from Matches online but cannot justify £620. However the one good thing about Isabel Marant is that everyone else seems to love her cool French style too, so pretty much everything from high tops to embellished jackets are replicated on the high street.
Anyway I was over the moon when I spotted a near perfect dupe for the Acca skirt by Mango on ASOS  for a steal at £60. I am going to be rocking it with my Topshop faux Isabel Marant Dicker boots and a super soft check shirt.

Sophie Dahl for Aubin & Wills

As a big fan of both Aubin & Wills and Sophie Dahl, I was mega excited when their almanac popped through my letterbox only to see Sophie modelling for their Autumn WInter 2012 collection. The photography is beautifully whimsical, and the new season clothes are gorgeous.

Aubin & Wills (Jack Wills' sexier better quality older sister) do great quality basics as well as brilliant knits, cosy coats, cute dresses and super sweet kids t's. Their underwear is also simple and elegant.
I went a bit mad in there a few years ago when it first launched and all the items I bought I still wear today and are going strong after numerous washes and clashes with toddlers and babies. Aubin & Wills also have a great outlet store at Bicester Village, always worth a visit for great bargains.

A couple of weeks ago I was sent a couple of gorgeous maternity knits by Seraphine Maternity. Victoria Beckham Glasses

The new Victoria Beckham eyewear collection

Being shortsighted Victoria Beckham apparently struggles to find glasses she likes, don't we all, so what does she go and do? Design her own. Amaze. Victoria released a sneak peek of her new eyewear range a few days ago (see pic above), consiting of six frames made in collaboration with Cutler & Gross, and they are mega gorgeous. Thick framed, tortoiseshell, great quality, I cannot wait to try them on. A few styles will be unisex, no doubt Mr. Beckham will be sporting some tres soon. All of the new frames will be unveiled at international eyewear exhibition Silmo Paris on 4 October, and are due to hit stores early next year.

They obviously look approximately a million times better on Victoria Beckham than they would on me but I'm still tempted to try a pair. As you know I have a penchant for sunnies and glasses, (her own range of sunglasses are equally as beautiful) but at £260 for the frames alone I better start being a good girl for the rest of the year so Santa can take this mega hint....
